🌿Our tea bags are made from corn silk — not plastic. Most tea bags contain plastic or nylon — which means when you steep your tea, you’re also steeping microplastics. We made a different choice. Every Melanated Cup tea bag is made from corn silk — a natural, compostable material that holds full-leaf tea beautifully, biodegrades completely, and never introduces anything synthetic into your cup. Because what you taste should be exactly what we put in. Nothing more.

Water temp 200°F / 93°C
Steep time 5–7minutes
Step by step:
1. Heat your water to the temperature above — do not use boiling water for green and white teas, it will make them bitter.
2. Place one full-leaf corn silk tea bag in your cup.
3. Pour water over the bag and steep for the recommended time.
4. Remove the bag and compost it — it is fully biodegradable.
5. Drink as is, or add honey if you prefer a little sweetness.
Cold brew: Place one bag in 8oz of cold water. Refrigerate for 6 to 8 hours. Remove bag and drink over ice. Rise & Vibe and White Mango are especially good cold brewed.

How to brew:
Heat water to 205°F / 96°C. Steep one full-leaf corn silk bag for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove the bag and compost it. Drink it strong. Add oat milk if you want something closer to a latte.
